St. Seachnall's Senior Girls GAA team had a great win against Dunboyne, with Amelie Breeze saving a last minute penalty. Boys Senior team lost their first match by 5 points in a keenly contested match against Rolestown.
This week we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge & St. Patrick's Day. Thank you to our School Orchestra who performed this morning in the school yard and again at both junior and senior assemblies. We also wish to thank Mr. Maloney for organising a céilí for all classes last Monday and Tuesday. There was a brilliant atmosphere in school today - well done to all the children for dressing in green. We hope you all enjoy St. Patrick's Day!
Boys and girls basketball teams are off to a great start winning 3 out of 4 matches so far. We will play St. Pauls, Ratoath and Duleek next.
St. Seachnall's NS celebrated World Book Day on 4th March. Classes all participated in D.E.A.R. time (drop everything and read).
Thank you to our past student, Jane Larkin for presenting basketball medals at Assembly today. Jane is a player on the Division 1 Cavan Eagles ladies team and also a member of our local Dunshaughlin Rockets club. Over the last few weeks, Rang 6 participated in an internal schools league. Winning team was captained by Richie Lynam and runners up captained by Charlie Roche. We are looking forward to participating in the meath basketball league over the next few weeks. Children also won awards for kindness and handwriting. Well done to all!
