Congratulations to all the children in Second Class who made their First Holy Communion last Saturday. The children were very excited for the occasion and they all really enjoyed their day. It was a lovely ceremony and everyone participated so well. Thank you to Father Sean, their class teachers (Ms. Tighe, Ms. Sheils/Ms. Murphy & Mr. Collins) and also to our School Choir, Ms. Mc Hugh, Ms Traynor, Mr. Collins, Ms. O' Toole and Ms. O' Dowd for the fabulous music on the day. The children really enjoyed their refreshments after the mass and a huge thank you to all the parents who helped out in the Pastoral Centre.      Our Boys Rounders team are participating in a fun tournament in Ashbourne today.  This morning, first and second class participated in their own Brainy Bunch Quiz. Congratuations to our winners. 1st 'The Irish Stars' (Alex, Kate, Paddy & Jack) 2nd:'We googled everything' (Aoileann, Josh, Ella & Ava) Joint 3rd :'The Butterfly Girls' (Laurie, Ameilie, Greta, Iyanna) Joint 3rd: 'The Rainbow Team' (Aoibheann, Caoimhe, Aoibhin & Aoife)  Thank you to all parents and children who attended the Brainy Bunch Quiz last night - it was a great success! Thank you also for all the raffle donations. All funds raised will go towards outdoor equipment for the children. Congratulations to our winners, Nick O' Toole, Ryan Buckley, David O' Toole & Frankie Barrett who took home the perpetual trophy. Thank you to Naoise, our Quizmaster and to our committee Mr. Slack, Ms. Kane and Ms. Sheils for organising the event & to all staff who helped out on the night.    |
