The boys’ Gaelic football team continued their Cumann na mBunscol campaign with two more games over the past fortnight. The first of these was an away one against St Patrick’s N.S. Stamullen. Continued improvements in the team’s play saw them record a big win and it was more of the same as they faced Duleek N.S. last Tuesday in Dunshaughlin. On the day we once again had two teams playing at the same time which gave most of the panel plenty of playing time. Both teams recorded comfortable wins and ensure we remain in the competition. We await the completion of the group stages next week when we have a bye.
The girls’ team is still also in the hunt for a place in the Cumann na mBunscol quarter finals after a thrilling draw against Dunboyne Senior Primary School in Dunshaughlin last week. Training continued after school on Tuesday this week in preparation for a must win game against Gaelscoil Thulach na Óg next Thursday in Kepak Park Dunboyne. Best of luck to the panel and their coaches Ms. O’Shaughnessy, Ms. Cooney and Ms. O’Sullivan.
The school’s hurling team under the management of Mr. Murphy and Ms. O’Riordan are also preparing for their last group game next week as they face the long trip to Howth on Tuesday to face Scoil Mhuire. In what is a repeat of last year’s Fingal League final, the team are in confident mood after their great win against Scoil an Duinninigh Swords last week in Dunshaughlin.
