ST. SEACHNALL'S N.S. PARENTS' ASSOCIATION
The parents of St. Seachnall's are represented within the school by the PA Committee. Our primary objective is to support families and the school management to provide the best possible education and school environment for the children of St. Seachnall's. We do this through fundraising, offering parent support (workshops and signposting) and acting as the collective voice of parents with the school management.
At our AGM early in the school year, new members are very welcome to join the PA Committee. We meet monthly together, and the chair and secretary subsequently meet with the school principal, to organise events and discuss issues that arise.
We understand that membership of the PA Committee is not for everyone, so we have a "helpers list" for those parents who may be able to help out at one or two events during the year. If this is something you are interested in joining, please make yourself known to a member of the PA Committee.
We operate a "parent rep" system on Whatsapp, which enables the PA to communicate directly with the parent body. Whatsapp groups are established for each class and a parent will volunteer to act as a PA rep for that class. We also communicate with parents via the school newsletter and Aladdin. Keep an eye on the PA noticeboard at the Supple Gate entrance to the school for information on upcoming events.
The chairs of our PA Committee are Carol Reilly and Aideen Hennelly. Niamh Dooner is secretary and Grace Ebunoluwa is Treasurer. Gavin Culloty and Louise Collins are parent representatives from the Board of Management.
