School Quiz Teams
Mr. Slack organises the school quiz teams every year. Trials and training for the interested pupils begin after Halloween. We have participated in the annual Credit Union Primary Schools Table Quiz and we were winners in the local area in 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. In 2024 we participated in the first ever Cumann na mBunscol primary schools sports quiz. On Thursday 30th January 2025, our sports quiz team won the inaugural Meath Cumann na mBunscol Table Quiz in Trim. The team of Seán Goodman, Bobby Mc Grath, Archie Walsh and Shane O' Reilly qualified from the regionals on a score of 69 out of 80.

On Sunday 23rd March 2025, the team represented Meath in the first ever All-Ireland Cumann na mBunscol primary schools' sports quiz. Congratulations to our team on a very well deserved 9th place. The quiz involved 80 sports questions, including 40 GAA questions and a picture round of 10 questions. 40 teams participated in the final (32 county winners and 8 more teams - two provincial representatives from each province). Donegal won followed closely by Mayo, Offaly and Tyrone. We are very proud of our team and we wish to thank Liam Gogan, Matthew Jelic, Harry McKeag and Michael O' Rourke Smith competed in the Meath Cumann na mBunscol Quiz Final in Scoil Mhuíre, Trim on 4th February. The boys performed very well and we are very proud of them all. Congratulations to Gaelscoil na Rithe, who will represent Meath in the All-Ireland Cumann na mBunscol Quiz Final.
