Our Playtime Routine
We have structured playtime in our classroom and take part in the Aistear programme. Each activity is rotated and our play theme is changed each month. We have five play groups : construction (lego,bricks,straws etc), fine motor (playdoh, stencils, jigsaws, art), small world (houses, cars, dolls etc), maths play (games, bingo, patterns, pegs) and a role play area.
Our role play is based on a monthly theme.
October: The Baby Clinic
November: The Building Site
December: The Toy Shop
January - February: The Vets
March: The Cafe
April: The Grocery Shop
